Poochon Puppies
Everything you need to know about poochon puppies
Poochon puppies are adorable little dogs that make great pets for families of all shapes and sizes. The Poochon is a hybrid breed that was developed from the Bichon Frise and Miniature Poodle. Poochon puppies are very popular because of their small size and vibrant personality. Some breeders may also refer to the Poochon as a Bich-poo, so be prepared to look for both names if you decide to search for one to adopt.
Taking a puppy home is a big responsibility, so it’s important to make sure you choose the right breed. Not everyone is happy with the same breed of dog, so do your research before you take any dogs home with you.
Poochon puppies can be any color, from white, to apricot, gray, cream, or even a mixture of several colors. Usually they have flecks of white throughout their coat, making their color seem even lighter overall. The coat is usually very fluffy and slightly curly.
Most Poochon puppies will grow to be between 10 and 15 pounds, which places them in the toy category. They will have very long bodies and a tail that can either be long and straight or slightly curled up.
Poochon puppies will start out like all puppies, bright and wanting to chew on everything, but just remember that they will grow into a very loveable dog, and the chewing phase will end. The Poochon gets along well with children usually, and they usually don’t meet someone that they don’t like. This type of dog is very social with just about everyone, and they also make a great addition to your family if you have other animals. The Poochon will play well with other dogs and tolerate cats pretty well also.
One thing you should be prepared for if you adopt Poochon puppies is the grooming. You’ll have to clip their coats about every two months or so. This will keep them from matting and getting all tangled up. You’ll also want to brush their coats every couple of days. The good thing about the Poochon’s coat is that it doesn’t shed very much, so you won’t have to worry about lots of dog fur all over your furniture and carpet.
Although Poochon puppies are small, they will need plenty of exercise, and this will become apparent when you see just how energetic they are. While running around your house will certainly help, you should also plan to take them for walks at least once a day if you do not have a fenced-in yard for the dogs to run in.
If you or anyone you know does have an allergy to dog fur, then it’s possible the Poochon could also be a good fit for you. Many people with dog allergies don’t have a reaction to the Poochon fur, but it’s always important to introduce the dog to the person who is allergic slowly and check for a reaction before you take the dog home.
